Marc L’Huillier

Selected Strategic Experience

Throughout his career, Marc has advised organisations across most major sectors, spanning: financial services, consumer goods, infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, health, education and the public sector.

Through all of this, the constant has been translating deep understanding of customers, employees and stakeholders into strategic advantage. While sector contexts differ, the underlying leadership challenges are often shared. They are also often the same consumers.

Over more than two decades, Marc has spent extensive time speaking directly with customers, employees and community stakeholders across Australia and international markets. Much of this work has been conducted face to face, in metropolitan centres and regional communities alike. This sustained exposure has built a deep and nuanced understanding of behaviour, expectation and lived experience that underpins the strategic judgement applied across all areas of focus.

Recurring areas of strategic focus include:

Growth and Portfolio Strategy Supporting executive teams on enterprise direction, portfolio optimisation and long term value creation. This has included evaluating growth adjacencies, clarifying strategic priorities, shaping capital allocation decisions and defining where to play and how to win. Insight has been used to test ambition against market reality and ensure growth strategies are grounded in evidence rather than assumption.

Customer and Market Strategy Advising organisations on positioning, segmentation and competitive differentiation across local and global markets. Large scale multi market programs have informed brand architecture, product strategy and customer experience design. The emphasis has been on turning behavioural and attitudinal insight into clear market choices that strengthen competitive advantage.

Reputation and Trust Supporting major institutions navigating regulatory scrutiny, brand repositioning and renewed stakeholder confidence. This has involved diagnosing drivers of trust, identifying reputational risk and embedding stakeholder perspective into enterprise strategy. In sectors facing public and regulatory pressure, insight has been central to strengthening long term licence to operate.

Transformation and Change Embedding customer and stakeholder insight into digital, data and organisational transformation initiatives. From operating model redesign to culture and capability programs, insight has helped ensure change agendas are aligned with real world needs and behaviours, improving adoption, coherence and long term performance.
